We like to think of ourselves as a come-as-you-are congregation yet still maintain a sense of tradition. Early or later on a Sunday morning, formally dressed or in your slippers, with a hot beverage or a wondering heart, all who wish to catch the slightest vision of what God is doing are welcome. We believe Lyndhurst Community of Faith is a place that can speak to you, comfort you, challenge you and provide you with a spiritual home.  If you are visiting for the first time, here are a few things you may like to know.

Sunday Worship Information

What can I expect on Sunday Morning?

Lyndhurst Community of Faith offers worship at 10:00 a.m.  Morning Worship is a more traditional service with choir, familiar hymns, thoughtful prayers and readings and musical guests. Holy Communion is shared on the first Sunday of each month. We follow the Narrative Lectionary to inspire our weekly worship service

What can my children expect in worship?

We love to worship as a community and that includes all!  Children are warmly welcome to be in worship.  Each week special sharing time allows children to center around God’s World to connect our lesson of the day with the child’s imagination.  Sunday School meets following children’s sharing time in our classroom located in the lower level.  The first Sunday of each month there is no class so all may share in worship and communion.  A children’s corner is available in the rear of the sanctuary with rocking chairs, quiet activities and books.

Where are the church offices?

Church offices are located at the southeast corner of the church building, the entryway is marked “office”.  Office hours are Monday from 9:00 am – 12:00 noon and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.   If your are visiting during office hours we ask that you please ring at the entry door.  We want you to visit, but need to be extra safe. The Preschool maintains their own offices in the Child Enrichment wing (southwest corner.) The church phone number is440-442-2331.

This is a big building, what door do I use?

On Sunday morning the hub of welcome and fellowship is the Foyer located between the two wings. Entrance is in the back of the building and easily accessible from the parking lot.  A flower garden courtyard will be the first to greet you! Chairlifts are available to access the sanctuary and lower levels from the Foyer entrance.  Friends who require wheelchair accessibly are welcome to use the circular driveway entrance located at the front east corner of the building.

For the safety of our community, the foyer door will be unlocked by the usher between 9-9:10. It will be locked when worship begins at 10:00 a.m. The chair lift operator will remain in the foyer until 10:10 to let in late comers. After 10:10, a sign on the door will direct folks to the accessible/elevator entrance.  Should you arrive after 10:10 am, you must enter through the accessible entrance (at northeast circular driveway). A sign on the door will instruct to ring the doorbell.
